Introducing its newest Windows Mobile 8 phones at Nokia World would give Nokia some time to show off its collection before Apple takes the highlight. However Nokia needs as much positive attention as it can get. With frustrating income results and less than impressive sales of its present Windows Phone-powered Lumia devices — the organization sold just 600,000 Lumia devices in North America last quarter — the once-dominant Finnish mobile organization is having difficulties. The fact that present Windows Mobile devices, such as Nokia’s newest Lumia 900, will not be able to update to the newest foundation certainly just didn't help.
But a Windows Mobile 8 statement at Nokia World does not mean that the gadgets will be available right away, or even very soon after. Windows Mobile 8 is not predicted to release until Nov, so it’s more likely that Nokia will merely show off its gadgets — as it did at last season's Nokia Globe event — then wait a month or two before shipping anything.
There is no doubting that Microsoft Windows mobile itself still needs a increase. The foundation currently makes up only 3.2 percent of the globally smart phone market, a little share compared to the major Android operating system devices and iPhones. Microsoft is anticipating windows Mobile 8 to speed up windows mobile growth, and Nokia would certainly journey along with that success. But both companies face several problems.
To face those challenges, Microsoft and Nokia aim to work with carriers and retailers to push Windows Phones. And Microsoft has openly said that it needs to work on its own marketing campaigns to make the mobile platform more visible. At a keynote talk during Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2012, VP of Windows Phone marketing Thom Grhuler said, “Smartphone users today don’t know about Windows Phone, and that’s a problem we’re going to fix with Windows Phone 8.”
